EXERCISE, SLEEP, AND STRESS MANAGEMENT

Exercise is Medicine: Physical activity may enhance your quality of life. It may lower the risk of cancer by reducing obesity and inflammation. Exercise as a therapy may reduce cancer-related fatigue, improve mood and sleep, and aid digestion. Before starting an exercise program check with your healthcare provider.

Sleep: Sleep plays a critical role in your mental and physical health by allowing your body to rest and your brain to recharge after each day. Adults should get 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

Stress Management: Time for yourself is an important part of stress reduction. Yoga, mindfulness-based meditation, guided imagery, and deep breathing can restore and reduce the harmful effects of stress.
